About

Truth not propaganda.

Peace not Capitulation.

Intelligence not Emotion.

Islam not Talibanization.

The purpose of this blog is to confront anti-pak indian propaganda and to promote the positive aspects of our beloved Pakistan.  We PAKISTANIS must revive the appreciation of the arts, humanities, and the social sciences in our country. We must foster a culture of peace, tolerance and sanity. We must reform our nation, join the vibrant GLOBAL community and contribute to the modern world and the human experience. We must leave a better Pakistan for our children.

  1. Dear whomsoever that runs this blog…I am an Indian. I like the idea of you running a blog about reforms in Pakistan and I wish there are a lot more like you. We all in the peninsula could use some reforms, be it Pakistan, India, Bangladesh etc etc. Having said that, why have you dedicated so much space/time/effort into India bashing material? How does it help your reform initiative? Have you ever been to India? If not, please make a visit…you will meet people welcoming you with open hearts and minds. Don’t fall into the stereotyped India Vs Pakistan scenario. We in India really have too many of our own concerns to be so obsessed with our western neighbor. We have more Indian Muslims than the whole population of Pakistan and they live and share the same issues, concerns, opportunities etc as anybody else in India.
Talk to a few Indian Muslims and you will know. You keep posting about Kashmir, Gujarat riots etc etc…try to see them in the same light as sectarian violence in Karachi or issues in NWFP. I hope you broaden you perspective and let go of this bias. Best of luck!

  2. Dear Shailly,

Thank you for the kind posting. My postings about India are not intended for well-meaning Indians such as yourself. They are for Indians **unlike** you. I encourage you to look at the comments section of CNN, Reuters, Dawn, TOI, Express Tribune for articles that are related to Paksitan, you will see Indians bashing Pakistan.

Even a simple article in a Pakistani newspaper discussing mundane matters about the country’s IT are inundated with insults from Indians. I counter many of the stereotypes, slurs, taunts, demogoguery of Pakistan by Indians in two ways: Pointing out Pakistan’s positive aspects and countering Indian claims/propaganda.

For example, you stated India has more Muslims than Pakistan. This is not true; Pakistan has 180M, India has 160M.

I understand that the unintended casualty of these posts can be hurtful to kind people such as yourself and I am genuinely sorry for that.

We as a nation, have a destiny, and we will achieve the visions of our founders some day.

    Best wishes,

    – Blogger

    • Bhai
Fu@$ the hate mongers…we need intellects like you to promote peace. Do you really think that the indians who write crap about pakistan are the majority? The majority is people like me who think of Pakistanis as our own….with some bad blood caused my political crap…hope you will someday realize that….sorry to say this but you ate adding to tje problem with you posts rather than adding to the solution.
      Shailly.

  3. Shailly,

Your heart is in the right place. A few Indians have made the same suggestion. I will write more articles such as the one below and reorganize the blog to write my different perspectives.

  4. I must say this is quite a creative work coming from a paki. The comment section too has its flair of being an indo-pak forum with mutual bashing etc. What I feel south asia hardly needs one more country stricken with poverty and gulfed with religious extremism. I have interacted with Indians ,Pakistanis here in Germany and also referred many texts concerning the issue between the two nuklear powered republiks .What I never understood was the ground on which pakistan claims to be the party to the dispute, while the dispute is between kashmiri people and india.I have often found the pakistani point of view skewed on the lines of islam and a fabricated history.Facts are forgotten India came in aid of kashmir when pakistani tribal invaders attacked and the monarch of kashmir acceded to india.True india did promise a plebiscite but under UN resolutions that can be only held once pakis remove their troops so does india.
But apart from plebiscite the erstwhile govt of India did also promise a constituent assembly for kashmir.Kashmiris got that.As far my knowledge Kashmir has quite an autonomy with in union of india considering the fact that it has a separate constitution .India has held regular elections in kashmir, pakistani say they were rigged but the UN reports deem the last two elections free and fair where people voted even though under threat perceptions from the separatists.
The separatist demand for a separate country under the garb of separate identity does not convince me as India as a nation is diverse with difference in food, appearance , language etc.But that said how big is the population who want separation from India.I have interacted with several kashmiri students,Moslems,Hindos,Sikhs etc most of them do not want a separate country and let alone a merger with pakistan.
I have read reports of Kashmiri boys and girls alike joining the Indian army , administrative services and participating in the political process. On the other side in the pak administered kashmir the situation is opposite. The ” ajad kasmir’ has no political independence. The northern areas too are not represented.
I do not see a solution until pakistan comes out of the equation ,stops terrorism. It simply has no role what so ever.Mending its own house should its priority than poking its neighbours

    • “Marc”,

      >> You are an Indian. One of 20 million residing outside of India. How do I know you are an Indian? Because only an Indian would pronounce “Azaad” as “Ajad” not a German.

I must say this is quite a creative work coming from a paki.

      >> I did not know “Germans” were racist against “Pakis” but not Indians. Have the seeds to comment as yourself and I will shred your temple-indoctrinated NCERT nonsense. Just answer the following questions:

why do kashmiris on both sides of the LOC call POK azad kashmir but indian-kashmir maqzooba kashmir?
why is Amnesty International banned in IOK but not POK?
why can’t HRW/AI find mass graves in POK but there are plenty in IOK?
why have 100,000 kashmiris died in IOK but not POK?
why are there 700,000 soldiers in IOK but not POK?
why are there massive kashmiri protests in india but no protests in POK even though there are protests all over Pak ?

      Hmm…..

  5. I am not an Indian, pronouncing a certain word in a certain way does not make one. ‘ajad or azaad’ the meaning is independent (correct me if I am wrong,am a novice with indian/urdo words) .
I am no racist . If you feel I am siding with the indian position you got me wrong.True human rights violation is a fact on indian side of kashmir and its between the kashmiri people and federation of india to deal with it.I do not see any reason for pakistan to meddle in their business.
Talk about indoctrination by indian education system aka the ‘NCERT’ i think you might as well google about it its just one of many student boards in that country .The indoctrination and fundamentalism thats fed via pakistani schooling system not to mention the way history is botched up should be discussed at length. The indian history text books are online free for download get a copy and read it if its permissible in your country.but thats not the point of argument.

Amnesty international was allowed into kashmir in 2010 albeit after 2 decades but Amnesty international cannot be termed neutral as its position of various matters is ambiguous .But amnesty or otherwise other watchers have serious contradictions with Indian position. All these and the news about the protests would have never seen the light of the day had India cordoned off the media as it happens in china or was happening in Nazi Germany but that does not happen,Indian media freely reports the violations. The question is hof far pakistani media is free to report anything against its government set up (read its army). We all know about journalists, lawyers judges speaking against the establishment are silenced.
Protests not happening in Pok , may be you tend to sleep when they do or think they are Indians when you see protesting.
Massive Kashmiri protest do happen but where are the protesters now ,the protest fizzled out in 3 months .Have you read the reports why the protests happened in first place. The people want independence ,independence from the draconian laws of Indian army(which are inhuman) .The protests were because of the failure of the state government to keep its promise to remove those laws, and now after the special powers of army has been rolled back ,we do not hear about the protests.
About the number of soldiers in kashmir.India is a free nation and is free to station its troops anywhere in its territory it likes.Besides they do sense a two pronged threat from China and Pakistan in that region.Again extremism fueled by pakistani side is also a fact, strangely while UN reports confirm the human right violation by terrorists and extremists forces, the Amnesty international does not see them as violations. Thus presence of such a huge number has its justification if we see from the perspective of nation trying to protect its federation. But from a common citizen perspective its a real nightmare being in the line of fire from both ends.Via protests only a civilian goverment can be made to respond hence the protests in kashmir and thanks to free media we get to know about them. The Indian Government could very well cordon off the media but it does not do so.
When pakistanis speak about human rights I believe many graves must be turning in Bangalades .I remember foreign media being cordoned off in erstwhile east pakistan .There were large number of east pakistani refugees migrating to india then but we donot see such issue in Kashmir today, infact there is a reverse tendency where people from pok have migrated to Indian held area.
Open up your eyes fella protests have been happening in pok and baloch areas but if things do not come up on your national media does not imply that they do not exist.Try and fight for the freedom of your country from the clutches of corrupt leaders and rogue army. The situation is not a simple as you think it is.
My suggestion look with in and sort out your internal matters , check your own track record before advising others
till then habe einen guten tag

  6. Slip of tongue by our “German” friend:

There were large number of east pakistani refugees migrating to *india* then but ****we***** donot see such issue in Kashmir today, infact there is a reverse tendency where people from pok have migrated to Indian held area.
