The problems afflicting the Muslim world can be solved with a loose union of Islamic countries: The United States of Islam. If Muslim countries were to form an economic block, it would be the world’s third largest economy at 10 trillion.

Islamic countries have a whopping 5200 Fighter Aircrafts – The United States has 3000 and Israel has 400.
A fool’s dream? perhaps but if EU can do it why can’t we. Imagine USI negotiating with India over Kashmir, Russia over Chechnya, Israel over Palestine, China and America over trade. If Europe can do it, what is stopping us (other than incompetent leadership).
- Each country would send scholars, scientists and representatives to each capital. Each country would contribute 5% of GDP towards the Union of mutual benefit. Per Islamic principles, the wealthy would pay more than the poor countries.
- Each country would give trade concessions to member countries
- The union would use the weight of its 10 trillion dollar economy to negotiate advantageous global trade
- A parliament would set forth a unified agenda for global affairs in the interest of the welfare and prosperity of the ummah
- The wrongs of colonialism and territorial issues would be addressed as a global entity instead of a bunch of weak nation-states
- Each country would retain visa restrictions so that there isn’a a mass upheaval and emigration from poor countries to wealthy countries.
- The idea would be build each other’s economies instead
- A councils of Islamic scholars would create a global standard for the interpretation of religions and hadith instead of thousands of fatwas and hundreds of mullahs and dozen
- Oil Producers will give concession prices to non-oil producing members
- Non-oil producing members would prefer member oil-producers
- An overarching Islamic authority to delegitimize terrorism and ill-conceived fatwas by illiterate Mullahs
- A combined force will be created to mitigate interference from other countries and to address our issues ourselves
- Members would an international university to rival the greatest universities of the world. The university would be located in Baghdad – where the university concept – was invented. Each country would send 1000 of its brightest students to the university – free of charge.
- An environment of unity & cordial relations would be promoted within member states such as:
